About Laurie Westlake

I grew up in the Kingsway area of Toronto but from an early age spent all my recreational time in Collingwood. My dad was one of the founding members of the Osler Bluff Ski Club and we spent all our weekends and summers at the family ski cabin. In the early 70's our family made the move to Collingwood full time.

After attending college to become a paralegal I moved back to Collingwood and met and married my husband Ron whose family have strong roots in Collingwood – his mother's family owned and operated Sandells, a butcher shop that serviced not only the local families but the ships that came into the harbour at the time. I have two great daughters, Carley and Abbey, and am the proud mother-in law to Abbey's husband, Andrew Peycha. We often tease that the girls are fifth generation Collingwood girls!

I feel very fortunate to be able to live and raise my family in Collingwood. For those of you who live here, I know you must feel the same as I do. Where else can you work all day then enjoy an evening on the ski slopes with your friends or savor the calmness of Georgian Bay on a hot summer night. Some of you might live further afield but enjoy escaping to the area for a day on the hills or some great hiking and biking.

I have been licenced since 2000 and believe that I couldn't have chosen a more exciting time to sell real estate in this area. Jozo's dream of a village at the foot of Blue Mountain has become a reality. Wasaga Beach is seeing unprecedented growth while Creemore and Meaford are little secrets waiting to be discovered. Thornbury's quaint main street is home to wonderful shops and restaurants and the side streets offer beautiful old stately houses. Collingwood itself is seeing a surge in population but our main street is still a lovely relaxing place to enjoy shopping and eating.

As you can tell I am very proud of our area and I am very excited about being able to help people buy, sell or rent property here.

When searching for a realtor, remember that your neighborhood

is my neighborhood too!
